Meet our team

We work hard at the BriarPatch! Our team  consists of our preschool teaching staff, our admin staff and our volunteers. 

For the Community Preschool, we are fortunate to have 2 full time employees. Our lead teacher is Miss Meghan, who began with us in 2011. Over the 10 years Meghan has been at our Centre, she has grown our little preschool program with innovative and engaging curriculum. This has gained her 2 prestigious awards: a Provincial Award recognizing her commitment to preschool children and families in 2015. In the Fall of 2020, Meghan was awarded the Prime Minister's Award of Excellence in Teaching. We are proud to have Meghan as our Lead Teacher. 

In the classroom with Meghan is Miss Chynna, her Early Childhood Teaching Assistant. Chynna is amazing with our preschoolers and guides with patience and great care. Chynna and Meghan work really well together and we love the team they have created since 2012. 

Rounding out our staff is Cheryl, who is the Executive Director and one of the co~founders of the BriarPatch Family Life Education Centre. Cheryl loves to be involved at the Centre and coordinates a number of our Family Support Programs. As an educator, she seeks to help families and individuals live their very best life!
